Guide

Install, use and remove Funnel One for Slack

A Funnel One admin opens Integrations, chooses Slack, clicks Add to Slack, picks the Slack workspace and clicks Allow. Funnel One comes back to Integrations with the workspace shown as connected. Then each person links their own Slack account, so every answer runs as them. The app has not launched yet, and each step below says when it ships.

Before you start

  • A Funnel One account with permission to manage integrations.
  • Permission to install apps in your Slack workspace, or a Slack admin who can approve the install.

Install

Coming soon
  1. In Funnel One, open Integrations and choose Slack.
  2. Click Add to Slack.
  3. Choose the Slack workspace to connect.
  4. Review the permissions and click Allow.
  5. You land back on Integrations, with the workspace shown as connected.

You can also start from the Funnel One listing in the Slack Marketplace.

A Slack workspace connects to one Funnel One workspace. If it is already connected to a different one, the install is refused.

Coming soon

Every answer and action runs as you, so Funnel One has to know which account is yours. Link it either way:

  • Reply to the prompt Funnel One sends the first time you DM it.
  • In Funnel One, open Settings and choose Connect Slack to sign in with Slack.

A matching email address never links an account on its own.

Use Funnel One in Slack

  • In a DM or the side panel

    Coming soon

Message Funnel One directly, or open it in Slack's AI side panel. The same conversation shows in your Funnel One Desk.

  • In a channel

    Coming soon

@-mention Funnel One in a thread. It answers there, and each message runs as the person who sent it.

  • With an AI teammate

    Coming soon

Address a teammate by name, for example "@Tyler research acme.com". Tyler answers as Tyler. If a name matches more than one teammate, Funnel One asks which.

  • Approvals

    Coming soon

An approval goes to the person it is assigned to, by DM. Only they can approve it, and only after a permission check. Destructive, security and large-cost actions show Review in Funnel One and open the app.

  • Channel privacy

    Coming soon

If an answer uses data someone in the channel can't see, you get it privately and the channel sees "I sent you the answer privately." Slack Connect channels shared with other companies get no record data.

  • Notifications

    Coming soon

In Funnel One, open Settings › Notifications. A Slack column sits beside In the app and Email. Switch on the events you want as Slack DMs.

What the app can see

These are the bot permissions Funnel One plans to request. The list is final when the app launches. It asks for no user-token permissions, so it never acts as your Slack account.

Troubleshooting

Funnel One asks me to connect my account.

Your Slack account is not linked yet. Follow the prompt, or link it from Settings.

It says "Funnel One is busy, your message is queued."

It has your message and replies in the same place shortly.

Someone from another company gets no answer.

People outside your workspace, for example in a Slack Connect channel, are refused.

The install says the workspace is already connected.

That Slack workspace is bound to a different Funnel One workspace. Disconnect it there first.

Uninstall, and what happens to your data

  • In Funnel One, open Integrations, choose Slack and click Disconnect. This also revokes the token at Slack.
  • Or remove the app in your Slack workspace's app management.

What happens next

  • Funnel One's Slack token is revoked and deleted.
  • Funnel One stops receiving anything from the workspace.
  • Every account link between Slack and Funnel One is deleted.
  • Conversations that started in Slack stay in your Funnel One account as normal threads.

To have everything deleted, email privacy@funnelone.ai. How deletion works
