For sales leaders

Stage means one thing across your whole funnel.

Funnel One is a GTM platform for running a B2B funnel under one set of rules, from first touch to closed-won. Your forecast is only as good as what “qualified” means — and right now it means one thing in marketing, another in the sequencer, and a third in the CRM. Here a record enters a stage when it meets that stage’s conditions, and not before. So the pipeline in front of you means the same thing everywhere.

What your board sees

One definition, applied to every account, whoever moved it.

A stage with conditions is a stage that means something. When a rep moves an account forward, the account meets the bar or it does not move — and the rep is told which part of the bar it missed and given the field to fill, right there. Nothing is deferred to a cleanup pass, because there is nothing left to clean up.

The same is true of a bulk update, an automatic rule and an AI worker. One set of conditions, applied identically. So when you look at the number, you are looking at one definition rather than the average of four.

  • Closed lost needs a reason. From your list, picked before the move completes. Which means the loss data is real rather than reconstructed at quarter end.
  • Nothing goes backwards by accident. Turn backward moves off and they are off, for everyone.
  • Your reps do less admin, not more. The conditions are attached to the stage, so the rep fills what is asked at the moment it is asked.

The obvious worry

“This will slow my reps down.”

It moves the work rather than adding it. Today a rep moves a card and then does the five things that were supposed to happen with it, or does not, and somebody reconciles it on Thursday. Here the conditions live on the stage, so the rep sees exactly what is needed and fills it in one place. Nothing to remember afterwards.

And the rules that bite are the ones you decided should bite. The moves that get refused are the ones that were going to produce bad pipeline. Slowing those down is the point.

Where to go next

The method

Four moves, in order, and why the order matters.

One workforce

Your reps, your ops team and your AI workers in one org chart, under one set of rules.

Platform

Everything the platform does, grouped by the job it does.

For sales leaders

A forecast is a definition applied consistently. That’s all it is.

Get the definition into the system and apply it the same way to every account, and the number stops being an argument between four tools and one spreadsheet.
